What is a review?

A review is a personal opinion of the client’s experience with different products and/or services that the company is offering in the market. Every company or business owner could require a written impression or conclusion from every customer that was served. The customer’s perspective with the brand and the products and/or services is based on the business relationship they have with the company.

How important are reviews?

The reviews are very important as they represent the quality of products and/or services in the customers eye. The more positive reviews a company has online enforces the level of professionalism and level of standard of what the company offers in the market. These reviews are visible online and make potential customers confident about the company and build trust and promote positivity by showing that existing clients are satisfied.

An important attribute to a review is that when a user clicks on a review, it directs them to the source of where a customer invested their time to leave a positive comment about their experience with the company. The reviews are live 24/7 online and can be visible and accessed around the world to everyone. When a customer writes a new review online, this helps to enforce the company reputation.

Can reviews be apart of the company website?

Reviews can be apart of the website. Star ratings can be apart of a review aswell as comments customers have published. This overall can enforce and repeatedly mind the clients of the high level of rating customers have expressed about the companies products and services that have been published before.

Happy customers… More positive reviews… More recommendations… More sales…

Every client will write a review differently based on different factors such as: their educational background, timing, personal experience etc.

Is there a perfect structure for the review?

When companies are asking their clients to leave a review for their services/products, they are prompted to direct the client on the specific structure they need to follow to leave an effective and impactful review. It could be great when the company is asking from the customers to leave a review to include some examples of what makes a good review as this will help them to be specific to the point, include more content, and be more descriptive. This example will help the customer know what to include, how to structure their review better and be more realistic by expressing their honest opinion in a more descriptive way.

Some of the points that a client can endorse on a review can be as following:

  • List the problem/s that the customer faced
  • Name the service/s the company offered to the client
  • How the company helped them to solve the problem
  • The overall experience of the customer received
  • Asking the client ‘Would you recommend our services?’

How could a review be written?

Some review examples from different customers that have expressed their opinion about different companies are listed below:

  1. ‘5*’ – A short, straightforward review – where the customer selects a designated star rating and does not include any context to what influenced their decision
  2. “Great service, thank you so much for your help.” A quick, general but positive comment that does not describe the problem. Just a thankful note.
  3. “I was in pain with my teeth and the company booked me in straight away, made me a priority and filled my teeth. I was so happy and finally relieved from my pain! Would definitely recommend it!”. A descriptive review that is an excellent example where the customer included important keywords and expressed their case study.

Other potential clients may be in the same situation as the story and this can influence them and undertake their final decision based on the review as they relate to the story and problem of the previous client. The third review can influence other potential clients decisions to purchase from the company.

This review structure can build a reputation about the company, products/services, a new connection with the customers permanently with other customers.

Customers can ‘like’ and ‘comment’ on another customer’s review also expressing ‘How helpful’ their review was and how it impacted their decision to purchase a product or service from the company.

Testimonials are another method of how a client can leave their opinion online. They can be apart of the website the user cannot click on the content and be redirected to the source unlike a review.

The reviews can be collected on different platforms and be shown everywhere online.

The company should have a structure in place for every time they collaborate with a customer, they officially can request them to leave a review.
